The Audies® is sponsored by the Audio Publishers Association (APA) and is the only awards program in the United States recognizing distinction in audio books and spoken word entertainment. Through The Audies® awards competition, publishers are able to enter titles in various genres for recognition as the premier titles. Finalists are selected for each category and from each group of finalist one winner is awarded. Finalists will be notified in March 2008, and showcased to the industry-at-large on the APA website, to the press, and in association materials. Winners will be recognized at The Audies® gala on May 30, 2008 at an exciting venue in Los Angeles, California.
There are several changes this year: We've created an Achievement in Abridgment award (covering fiction and non-fiction titles) and opened up the Fiction and Non-fiction categories to include abridged as well as unabridged titles. Also, The Audies® entry form can now be found online at www.audiopub.org, making it much easier to enter your titles. So gather up your best titles and enter them for your chance to win! We wish you the best of luck and look forward to receiving your entries.
