Jeffrey E. Barnhart – President & CEO
Jeffrey Barnhart, founder of CMA, has more than 25 years of experience in strategic marketing, advertising, public relations, direct response programs, sales promotion, association management and event marketing.
An award-winning agency executive, industry leader and marketer
Jeff is a featured speaker and columnist on various marketing and communications topics. He has been named Small Business Person of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce of Princeton, NJ, and was appointed to the Small Business Council of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He was also named a regional finalist for Inc. magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Prior to founding CMA, Jeff spent eight years as a marketing executive at Philips Lighting, where he spearheaded the successful marketing and sales integration of three Philips Lighting Company mergers and played a key role in launching one of the first energy-efficient, environmentally-beneficial lighting products in the US market.
A believer in giving back to the community
Jeff is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey. He served two terms as president of the Central Jersey Regional Chapter of the American Diabetes Association and was a patron of the Eden Dreams Event benefiting children with autism, as well as many other worthwhile causes including involvement with the Special Olympics of New Jersey. He also was a founding partner in the Rutgers Family Business Forum.
Successful navigator of business issues
An avid boater and fisherman, Jeff currently holds a Masters Captain’s License from the U.S. Coast Guard. An expert at navigating his way through challenging business climates, Jeff’s results-driven strategies have helped launch start-up businesses and associations, and provided sales growth and profit enhancement to small companies and established blue chips. Jeff played an instrumental role with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Lights initiative—which has since emerged to become today’s well-known EPA Energy Star program—in which he worked closely with the U.S. EPA to develop a communication program designed to educate and create awareness of the benefits of energy-efficient facilities and building energy systems to the top 1,000 U.S. corporations.
Jeff earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Rider University and presently serves on the Rider University Communications Advisory Board.

Burt Lambert – Executive Vice President, CFO
Burt Lambert is responsible for all CMA financial operations, investment research and planning. He oversees the financial management of all CMA client accounts, as well as company information management systems, purchasing, facility management, human resources, benefits administration, legal issues, strategic planning and company policy-making.
Over 25 years of management experience
Burt’s prior experience includes positions at Merrill Lynch/Pierce, Fenner & Smith of Lawrenceville, NJ, where he served as a financial consultant responsible for overall business development and investment/financial planning for over 400 accounts valued over $10 million. In addition, he supervised manufacturing operations, managed varied aspects of human resources, and spearheaded troubleshooting and systems implementation at General Motors Corporation in Trenton, NJ.

Playing an integral role in the success of CMA and its clients, Burt’s attention to detail and thoroughness have proven to be vital assets in all aspects of daily business operations.
Aviation training helps him see things from the ground up
In addition to his professional expertise, Burt has substantial aviation training and applies the vital attention to detail required to fly planes to the financial aspects of CMA and to all of the businesses and associations with which we have an opportunity to work.
Burt earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rider University. He is also a member of the International Association for Financial Planning, the American Management Association, and the American Association of Individual Investors.
